On 2nd March the bellringers from St Mary’s in Overton, St Dunawd’s in Bangor on Dee and St Mary’s in Chirk were awarded the ART (Association of Ringing Teachers) Band or Cluster of the year 2024 for the way the three towers work together and support each other.
The award is open to any tower or cluster of towers that is focussed on improving ringing standards and developing the sustainability of ringing.
They were looking for the band or cluster’s commitment, drive and delivery over a period of years.
Pictured below are Deryl from Bangor on Dee, Claire Morris and Pauline from Overton who attended the award ceremony to accept the award for the cluster.
